Help us to find them - when and where was Alfred born? There are 273 Alfred Masons on the 1871 census...

I wander if anyone could help me in reading the census image I have. It's from 1871 for Alfred Mason and family. I cant make out what his wife was called, and also, I presume her mother, who is listed as Head at the end of the Mason names.
I'm also having trouble reading what the township is and what Alfred's occupation was.
I have looked, and looked at it, but am getting no further.
Please would one of you kind people have a look for me.
Many thanks in anticipation
