Hi Joan,
I thought the name Goldthorp sounded Jewish too .Maybe she was but as we have no details of her and all my husbands relatives are no longer with us there is no-one to ask.

Helen if you order the marriage certificate you may find out what denomination she was. I ordered one from my tree and they married in the great Synagogue, Duke Street London.
Strangley, his family CARO were surgical truss and instrument manufacturers and drapers.

Helen . well i married in 1957 so was from 1952 to about 1960 that I used to shop at Rose's
