Find Ancestors

I would like to know if their are any descendants please still living who might be related to the Smithers family who came from Grayswood Witley Surrey, my Grandmas parents names were William and Emma Smithers but I do not know when William and Emma were born they had a farm in the South of England, I think they were living at Scotland Farm and then moved to Sturt Farm Haslemere Surrey.

I am not sure if William had any siblings I am quite stuck on him at the moment I have to do further research for him. I know he had a few children and one of his daughters was Lily who was my Grandma who was my Dad's Mother. My computer recently crashed so I am having problems trying to sort out and find the family history on there which I hope I have not lost. I possibly have print outs of William's children which I can fish out for you. I might be able to find out further information from one of my cousins.

Thank you very much for your reply, the Smithers family that appears on one of the census (I think 1911 census) they were living at Sturt Farm, Haslemere, Surrey, I am not sure if they owned the farm or whether they were employees I cannot read the transcript very well it is not very clear.

William Smithers was a farmer, I am not sure if there was a son called William Smithers I am still trying to find some more information that I might have. William Smithers was born in Witley Surrey but I don't know what year.

This is the correct family but how do I find out if the Smithers family owned the farm or whether they were employees at the farm.

On the image it states that William was an Employer but suppose that doesn't necessarily mean that he owned it. He could have been a tennant but employed some men to work for him.

If he owned it then there would probably have been a will when he died.

She married George Chuter in 1907, est b.1882/1883. I am sorry I should have said she died as Lily Chuter (Nee Smithers).
