Find Ancestors

I am trying to find Kate Osborne in 1891 and not having much luck, so I am hoping someone out there can give it a go and see if I've missed it. The details I have on Kate are as follows:

Born in Ewhurst, Sussex 1875 - 2b 50 registered Battle

Father Anthony - Mother Matilda (Bradford)

I have found most of the family from 1841 to 1901 but cannot find Kate in 1891. She would be 16 years old. Her parents were living in Guestling Sussex at that time.

There is a Kate Osborne of the same age working as a servant in Hove but it states that she was born in Kent, so I don't think she is the one.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Unfortunately entries on census records are not always true...for all sorts of reasons.

Don't I know it. Trouble is I don't know of a reason why she would have gone to Lancashire as I haven't found any connection to any Taylor's. There was an older girl in the family but she married a Godden by the look of it and was in Sussex in 1891.

This has been driving me nuts! Thanks for trying.

Have just looked at the census sheet for the Taylor's and it lists Kate Osborne as a Widow aged 40!!!!! Goodness knows how they got 17 out of that!

So she definitely isn't that one.
