They were married in 1853 in Peterborough. I know of one child (who was born in Peterborough in about 1856), but am interested to see if they had any others :)

Thanks

Sorry!!!! It is the middle of the day here and I am doing about 10 things at once.....

I don't have an exact birth date for Charles...

The child born in 1856 was named Culping James Spring.

Thankyou for your patience :)

Simply because it is 10:39am on Thursday- not the middle of the night when I have nothing else to do but sit here and wait.

I also didn't expect to get responses to quick because it is the middle of the night over there!

Lynn

Where did you get the name of 'CULPING JAMES SPRING'?

Nothing is showing for that name on Ancestry anywhere...any time...

Mrs Bucket- I have it on his marriage certificate and all his childrens birth certificates.

Lynn1976 Report 19 Jun 2008 01:49

I have been given other variations though and have his death certificate listing him as James Spring.....

This is what I am finding so hard. I have spent since January trying to even find his parent's and only got that info in the mail this morning.

Tracy,

I was trying to find his parent's names before, but I now have that info and am trying to expand on that :)

MrsBucketBouquet

MrsBucketBouquet Report 19 Jun 2008 02:02

This is the only thing coming up with the Christian name of CULPING....

Births Dec 1856

Ashworth Culping Peterbro 3b 137

Maybe his Mother was married before??

I think you need to invest £7 on buying this birth cert.......I know i would if he was mine!

Lynn1976

Lynn1976 Report 19 Jun 2008 02:04

This line has been a major stumbling block for me.... I just cannot find correlating information on Culping or any of the other family members.

His son Leslie (who is my great grandfather) has his fathers name listed on his marriage certificate as James....

Mrs Bucket, how do I buy them?

MrsBucketBouquet

MrsBucketBouquet Report 19 Jun 2008 12:41

Hi again Lynn

Sorry for delay as i went to bed....

If you want to buy a BMD cert, heres how and here
is the addy where you can buy it online... (copy n paste the following...)

http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/

(tip)Never pay more than £7
(another tip) for a marriage, you only need
put one partners name when ordering.

If you are ordering online from the GRO,
make sure that when the form asks
"Is the full GRO reference known?"
that you tick the "yes" box.

Be very careful about websites that charge more!

Good luck
