Hi, maybe i am not looking correctly but i can't seem to find Elizabeth Sanders before she married - i have her marriage cert in 1875 - Gloucester - she was 18, so born about 1857. Her Father was John Sanders.
Any help would be great.

Think i remember they both lived at Calton Rd Gloucester. Elizabeth's Father was John Sanders - it looked like Bugle Major as occupation !!!!!! i wonder what it was???? and no i hadn't been drinking !!!!!! the cert only came yest but i was called away so haven't looked properly.

BatMansDaughter Report 21 May 2009 12:20

I can't see Elizabeth living close to the witnesses in 1871, Hannah and Daniel live 2 doors away from eachother though.

Was hoping that Hannah and Elizabeth were friends living close to eachother!!!

I'll keep digging.

Hi,

I would not discount what has already been found - just because it did not say 'deceased' on marriage cert does not necessarily mean that the father was not dead !!

This is VERY comnmon
