Hi Dea, I am not at my house at the mo, so don't have cert with me. I know the bride and groom were both 18 when they married, Elizabeth Sanders married a James Baylis. He was a plasterer. Think i remember they both lived at Calton Rd Gloucester. Elizabeth's Father was John Sanders - it looked like Bugle Major as occupation !!!!!! i wonder what it was???? and no i hadn't been drinking !!!!!! the cert only came yest but i was called away so haven't looked properly. thanks Sally

I can't see Elizabeth living close to the witnesses in 1871, Hannah and Daniel live 2 doors away from eachother though.
Was hoping that Hannah and Elizabeth were friends living close to eachother!!!
I'll keep digging.

Hi,
I would not discount what has already been found - just because it did not say 'deceased' on marriage cert does not necessarily mean that the father was not dead !!
This is VERY comnmon
