Many thanks for all the information you have given me on the Walkers in response to my message of 08.04.08. I'm new to genealogy and live in New Zealand and know nothing about my Grandfather Robert Walker born 1855 Fulham son of John and Ann Robert died in 1905 my Mother was nine years of age at that time she never talked about any relatives by the name of Walker.

I'm really curious to find out what happened to Eleanor Walker born abt 1862 and living with Richard when the 1871 census was taken. I'm also interested in Anne Walker born abt 1865 Hertfordshire she only appeas on the 1871 census age six.

Unfortunately there were 3 women and only 1 man listed on the page so I do not know whe she married and therefore can not find her in the 1881 census.!

Just read the information you have found on Eleanor Walker I suspect you have found the correct person .As John father of Eleanor had a sister Elizabeth and it would appear to be a family name as Jane Walker the eldest of the Walker family is Jane Elizabeth and they seamed to reapeat names in families in those days. My Paternal Grandfather had three sisters names Margaret all living but were known as Maggie Mary and Peggy.

Thanks for all your help re my Walker relations. I note that you have looked for Eleanor Walker and have come up with three possible persons for a marriage but have not given me the name of the person who she may have married. I find it rather interesting as you have Annie Eleanor Walker 1879 Kensington and a Rose Eleanor V Waker 1881 Shorditch.

My Mother was the daughter of Robert Walker born 1851 Fulham. My Mother was one of five daughters Rose Annie, Violet my Mother,Lily, Isabella,and Ivy we always used to laugh and say my Grandmother must have wanted a flower garden. The fact that you have a Rose Eleanor V Walker this person could be a possible if you give me the name of a possible Husband I could check the census in our National Library. I Live in New Zealand and know very little about the family and where the different counties are in and around London.
