Find Ancestors

Serendipity at work. I read that thread on the Records board because I was very interested in what looks like a horrific breach of privacy by Ancestry. I decided to try it out. (It really does seem that trees that are "private" at Ancestry can be accessed at Mundia.) I'd never heard of Mundia before -- it's operated by Ancestry, and Ancestry has just transferred people's trees there (apparently without any decent notice this is happening).

I'd just read your thread, and I realized that could be the solution you needed. In your case, the Ancestry trees aren't "private". At Mundia, try clicking on "Family Tree" in the row of buttons, once you have got to Olivia's entry in one of the trees. It allows you to navigate up and down and sideways around the trees. I couldn't figure out who she connected with and when, but maybe you can -- or just contact the tree owner. I hope it works!

You can then use "Find People" to search for Olivia Kempf.

When you click on the search results for Olivia Rickia Wilhelmine Kempf, you will be given access -- free of charge -- to the two trees on Ancestry in which she appears (the ones I cited earlier).

You will also be able to contact the two people to whom the trees belong, through that system.

I find it impossible to navigate those things, e.g. to find out what Olive Kempf is doing in a McLelland familiy tree. There are McLellands in the tree coming from Ireland to NSW, who presumably married some Kempf relation at some point. The descendants of Olive's sister are the only Kempf descendants shown in the tree.

But you could easily take out a 14-day free trial subscription at Ancestry and contact all the people with the names of interest to you in their tree.

Your initial post made no sense at all, and I applaud the brave souls who ran with it.

We don't start out with lists of surnames and wonder how they relate. Anyone could pull a list of names out of a hat and post them and watch others scurry around.

We also don't wait until others spend their time finding things for us and then announce that we already have it, let alone get all huffy when someone asks whether we already have certain information. *That* is rude.

We give the information we have, *all* of the relevant information, and we explain what we are looking for and why we are looking for it.

If you're reading some particular trying-to-find "surname board", look at the top of it and you'll see "To list the entire trying to find board again click here". Click there. Then, or if you're already on the complete TTF board, you will see a post about how to use the board, which is pinned at the top of the board, for a reason.

Engine Driver Killed

Kyneton, Thursday - Percival Enoch Beddoe, engine driver on the Redesdale line, after bringing the train to Kyneton today, carried on shunting operations just westward of the station, when by some means he fell of his engine on to the rails, and a wheel ? the tender struck his throat, making a terrible gash and almost severed the head from the body. The engine was travelling very slowly at the time. Dr. Groves arrived a few minutes after the accident and pronounced life extinct.

An inquiry was opened by Mr. D. McLennan, J.P. deputy coroner this afternoon and adjourned until tomorrow.

Beddoe was married, and 51 years of age. He leaves a widow and 4 children who reside at Redesdale.

Kyneton, Monday. An inquiry was held on Friday touching the death of Ernest Percival Beddoe, aged 51, a railway engine driver, who was run over by his engine and killed at Kyneton on November 27. The deputy coroner (Mr D. McLennan) recorded a finding of accidental death, remarking that he was not prepared to add a rider, as the evidence was rather conflicting.

The widow of the deceased said that her husband was tired on Thursday morning, having been on duty from half-past 4 on Wednesday morning until half-past 12 midnight.

Henry Lewis Solomon, fireman said that the deceased had complained of having worked 20 hours on the previous day. Thomas James Elder, depot foreman at Bendigo stated that the time-table provided for the crew to have the regulated rest at Daylesford on the Redesdale run. Had relief been telegraphed for - that responsibility was placed on the driver, a train crew would have been supplied. Any man who worked on the railways from 5 o'clock in the morning till midnight had no one to blame but himself.
