Ethel Maud Criddle or Lockyer
She was 18 when she got married to Albert Williams in 1914. Can't find any record of her birth, but i have found an Ethel Maud Lockyer, think it may be her any help would be great!

The 1901 census has an Ethel Lockyer who is 4, she's the daughter of Susan M. Lockyer, 24 who in turn is a step-daughter of Charles Criddle who is married to Caroline.

wow, i didn't think i'd get help so fast!
I know that my great grand mother was Ethel Maud Criddle who married Albert Williams 19 Dec 1914, she died 1933 in Cardiff (st Davids hosp). Her father is Charles Criddle on the marridge cert and her mother is S.Mary Criddle on the childrens birth cert's but i can't find records of her birth!
They had 7 children
I think she may have been born Lockyer not Criddle as the only Ethel Maud i can find born 1896 had a Mother S.Mary in her name and a step grandfather Charles

Ethel Maud Lockyer is correct. She actually wasnt Charles Criddle's child, she was his step granddaughter but she was born out of wedlock to susan mary Lockyer so was probably known as Charles' daughter

OK, the reason Henry and Caroline were married after emma wa born is because she was from Henry's first marriage.

I'd say it was a pretty safe bet but the only way you could find out for sure is by buying the birth certificate
