Find Ancestors

Hi helpers,
Im really really getting a severe headache on the family of my gg grandfather Frederick Dorman b1876 Gayton, Kings Lynn Norfolk. Now i have him on the 1881c living with his grandparents Ann and John along with Fredericks brother Edward(or is it his cousin) and their uncle William and his wife Elizabeth. now i know these are not Fredericks parents as i have my g grandmother gladys bc and her parents were Frederick and Sarah Gore. I tried to apply for Freds bc but with no luck i got a partial refund. So im trying to find out where Fred and Williams parents were in 1891. Did they have any other children??also any info on their father John b1826 Watlington, Kings Lynn.

Any help on this will save my insanity hopefully!!!

Did you ever consider they had passed away by 1891?.

Maybe died in an accident together..?

I am a bit confused with this.

You say your gg grandfather is Frederick born 1876, but don't think William and Elizabeth are his parents because your g grandmother Glady's parents were Frederick and Sarah.

So when was Gladys born?

gladys was born kings lynn, 1906.
frederick 4b 308 isnt him thats who i thought it was originally then my nan said her grandfather was from gayton so it eliminated him. thats the one i couldnt get the bc for.

I think Frederick was born before his parents' married

see this is where i now get confused as again youve found 1891 census its giving the parents as william and elizabeth but then the 1881 only gives edward as the son to william and elizabeth.
they werent fredericks parents. this is getting so confusing now im starting to muddle myself even more.....

Why couldn't you get the birth cert?

The 1881 just states both Frederick and Edward as grandsons to the head of house. They are bith listed after William and Elizabeth so appear to be their children, and the 1891 more or less proves it.

do you think frederick dorman sept1875 index 4b 308 is the correct one as this is the bc i applied for with no luck!!
im getting so confused over this one person its so frustrating i think i need a cup of tea!!

they just sent an email saying there was no trace of the above mentioned person at the ref you quoted, so i thought i had put in an error but 4b 308 frederick dorman was what i put so no idea ...
