I've just received my gggrandfather's birth certificate and it gives the names of his parents as: Henry Storer and Caroline Storer formerly Golby. My gggrandfather was named Henry and was born in Foleshill, Warwickshire on 2/2/1859. Henry snr. was born in Ibstock, Leicestershire in c1821 but I can't find any trace of him until the 1861 census when he is married and living in Foleshill. Any help appreciated on Caroline or Henry Storer snr.

ADDED info:

Looks like the Rawston children are visiting from the family next door - Head's name looks like Swain?
Mr Swain's daughter Emma is married to James Rawston.

I will see if I can connect them?

Back in a bit!!

It's so kind of you all to help...I'm going to see what I can find on Sarah Ann born c1845 according to the 1851 census in Ibstock. She's a new one to me. Is there any other way of finding siblings apart from the census?

Hi Pam,

Think we may be related, I'm hoping your Henry had a sister Jane, who's parents are;

JANE STORER
Female

Event(s):
Birth:
Christening: 16 APR 1820 Ibstock, Leicester, England

Death:
Burial:

My family is still in Ibstock, so would be great if we could make a connection.

Hi,

Just found this site which has lots of Parish Record transcriptions for Warwickshire and It has the Foleshill area widely transcribed as well as other areas.

I am sure you will find it useful:

Hi Pam,

Me again.

there is a tree on ancestry for Henry, unfortunately it states his parents are Henery and Elizabeth Millington.

So good news for you as it seems it goes back further.

Though I'd found another rellie, never mind. We could be further back though.... ever the optermist!!!(sorry for spelling)

Still room for optimist Dee - Henry and Elizabeth also had a Jane in 1820 (though IGI has her as dying in 1833?)

Hi Dea,

Unfortunately mine's the other Jane, she married in 1840.

Ooops shoudn't say unfortunately, without that little lady I wouldn't be here. LOL!!!

There is most likely a link but probably far back.

Looks like Pams rellies ( Henery and Elizabeth) lived to good ages though.

Take care and thanks for looking,

The other, Dee xx

Hi Dea and Dee
I never knew that there were so many Storer's out there! I thought that it would be a fairly simple task but oh boy, was I wrong!
I've sent off for Caroline and Henry's marriage certificate so that I can double check Henry's father and also Caroline's fathers name.
I'll look into the Warwick website..that could be very useful. Before I started this I thought my rellies all came from the Nottingham area.
Thanks again for the help
