Search Records

Why should I search death records?

You are searching our Death Records

  • Our Death Records date from 1837 to 2005 which means information on your ancestors is just waiting here to be found.
  • We will search our Death Records for names that match your search criteria. Do not worry if you do not have a lot of information. You only need a surname to search and get results.
  • Some of the records you are searching will be very old, so it is often worth trying a few variations of spelling when it comes to names.
  • You can search a number of different record selections by choosing them from the left hand green panel.

Search death records

Enter a name to search millions of historical records.

Fields with a * are mandatory.

To maximise your results it is best not to use a middle name. You can also try using variations of the first and second names as the records are copied from handwriting that was often hard to read.

When searching for women try both their married and maiden names.

If you want to search for deaths that occured a few years either side of your stated date, use the give or take box.
