yes I have done a search and been in touch with most of the people who have him in their tree but have not heard from a direct contact. I have also contacted people on Ancestry who have him in their tree but so far not found any direct descendants of him.

Thanks for all your suggestions which I will follow up

Patricia, it's a good idea to reply to the messages you get in reply.

as Nyx asked: Have you searched trees here and have you tried to contact people who have him in their trees?

In case you found it hard to follow the data posted,

patchem has given you info about Alfred's daughter: birth, marriage and death

you can find her children's names here

https://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl

by searching for births with surname Drew and mother's surname Dorrington

(names not to be posted here for their privacy)

Then you can look for them by doing internet searches, e.g. at Facebook

You can also add 'postems' at FreeBMD (see the instructions there) for each record in the family, giving an email address (best to use a permanent online anonymous one like at Gmail), so that anyone who looks up one of the family members there will find you.

And of course search trees here for the children's names. You will find that someone has a person with the right given name and middle initial as the youngest of the three children.

I did a quick search at Ancestry and I would be pretty sure the tree owner is his daughter -- great-graddaughter of Alfred and Elsie, the family having stayed in the same area.

Here, this will make it simple :-)

A number of people seem to have him in their trees on here, have you used the Search a top of page and messaged them?
