I am looking to locate relatives of Michael and Jacqueline

Grandparents are Mabel Francis and Harry Whitman they had a son John who married Ivy and they had Michael and Jacqueline..we belive Jacqueline may have moved to USA and Michael sadly passed away in Nov 2009..

Not seeing any births for the couple though

Would the births have happened in England, Wales or somewhere else?

Can anyone find Ivy's second marriage? The 1939 register entry indicates that she used the surname TODD by 20 Apr 1953

Unless Michael and Jacqueline had different names at birth, might they be the children of the second partnership/marriage rather than the first?

Perhaps Michael and Jacqueline were adopted by John & Ivy ??

Joanne has a Harry born 1913 in her tree so that John would be too early. No sign on a marriage for a Harry to a Mabel though.

So the info given in the enquiry doesn't tie up with England/Wales records I,m afraid

While casting around for any record which might be relevant, I came across this marriage.

We seem to have been barking up the wrong tree with our guesses re Harry & Mabel, and John & Ivy.

Could John or Ivy be middle names, perhaps? We can't seem to find any John Whitman marrying an Ivy, other than the one already posted on your thread.

Did Mabel have siblings John and Maud?

The surname must be Whitham, not Whitman.

They had one son called John but he didn't marry an Ivy, he married a Diane. Not seeing any children for them.

Appears we had wrong surname it is Whitham

SO Mabel Yates (nee Francis) married Henry (Harry) Whitham they had son John who married but had no children. Living relatives of Michael and Jacqueline who are main ones I am trying to locate.
Finally we have made progress it appears they were born to John Francis who was born 1912 married Ivy Smith who was born in 1905. The married in 1935.
They had 2 children Michael Francis born 1935 got married 1957 but no marriage details yet believe he died in Northampton Nov 5th 2009 but can not find any death details/records yet
Jacqueline Francis was born 1937 married (we think) Stanley Sorkness in 1955

John was born in 1944 so I assume Michael was born Mid 1960s to 1970

Have you tried to contact John at the address he was at in 2013?

(Find it on searchelectoralroll if you don't have it.)

Even if he's not there any longer, the current resident may know if he died or where he moved to.
