Well, it is the BLAND thread Barbra ;-)

Went out today for lunch to celebrate our daughter's birthday, which was last week.

The café /restaurant is on the Bunbury beachfront. Fantastic venue but a long wait for lunch, which, when it came, was very good. OH and I had the fish and chips which I have to admit is not our usual Sunday fare :-0

I should have stuck with the seniors portion which would have only had one fish fillet, as I struggled with the two we received, and would have been four dollars cheaper :-D

Snuck the remains of the second fillet out, which our cat seemed to enjoy ;-) :-D :-D

Barbra :-D

Kiss me quick hats, sewage washed up on the beach, happy days!

I remember when I first started working at Manchester Town Hall I'd borrow my dad's car fill it up with petrol (five shillings a gallon) pick up some co worker and head to Blackpool. This was on a Friday night when the Union (NALGO) held a dance at the Tower Ballroom every week.

A few pints, this was before the breathalyser, and an unsteady journey back home :-D :-D

Last visited there in the very early 1980's when we went to see an Aunt who lived in Preston. That was just before we came out to Oz. It must have been late in the year as it was cold and miserable :-(

Morecambe was also a place I remember well as we went there several times when we visited another Aunt who was an inmate at Lancaster Moor Hospital.

"Shrimp boats are a-coming, their sails are in sight" :-D :-D

Strange how Viagra can be used for two totally opposite things :-S

There's the original use and as for the other use, put one in your shoe and it makes you limp :-0 :-D :-D

Today I got a cardigan
It fitted me just great
although it had nine buttons
i can only fasten eight

A variation on that:
My Sister has a new cardigan
that has nine buttons,
But she is SO big chested
she can fasten, only eight!
