Have a look at this site - you have to register but it's free.

You'll find Mother's maiden name for births from Q3 1837 (if none infers illegitimate) to 2021 (missing 1935-1983inc.) and more recent ones you need to know mmn beforehand, but can help find siblings.

Also gives ages at death from then too. (missing 1958-1983 inc)

Hildas parents are Frederick Jowitt & Wilhemina Leather.

But trying to find Hildas death has been difficult for some reason, just brick walls.

A tree on Ancestry has the death as 2015. As this tree ‘owner’ is the partner of Alice’s grandson I would assume the date to be accurate.

Are you not in contact with the immediate family?

I am in contact with the family...I am helping my cousin to put together her side of the family but Hildas...correct..death date....just unable to confirm.

I don't think that tree mentioned by Nameslessone can be relied on, as it's not well researched.

It gives no proof of the date of death - nor of her birth.
It spells her name Jowett, rather than the correct Jowitt. (but see edit below ).
It gives her husband's name as Pervical (sic), in spite of the fact that he lived his whole life as Percy ( born, married, on the ER , and died. Also with his parents Neville and Jennie in Garforth in 1921, and also in 1939. DOB, per 1939 Register, was 5 Oct 1914.)


EDIT:
Re spelling of Hilda's surname - born as Jowitt, married as Jowett.
Her father Frederick is clearly Jowitt on his marriage cert, at death, on 1911 and 1921 censuses, and 1939 Register. In 1891 and 1901 the enumerator has spelled it Jowett, or maybe just hasn't dotted his i's.

The 2013 death record which I posted is almost certainly the correct one, although of course you (or your cousin) will have to buy a copy to see what details it gives.

Maybe Valerie or her cousin could get in touch with the grandson to compare notes.
