	Martha's birth, which you presumably have: Births Jun 1856 (>99%) HARRIS Martha Portsea 2b 373 I don't see a christening record. Can't see her parents' marriage. How do you know Jane's surname was Sainsbury - is that from Martha's birth cert? Ancestry suggests her name was Sainsbury, but their suggestions can be wrong.

	George was born in Poland, per all censuses 1861 - 1901. Jane died between 1891 - 1901, and he remarried. Don't see any marriage to Jane, though. 1851 census is on the other thread. More info on there that thread, so not worth adding to this one.

Member Since: October 2004 Posts: 35 Send Message	Thankyou for your help .. wasn't ignoring you, I didn't realise there were 2 threads on this I'm not sure quite sure where i got Sainsbury info from , i was researching the family quite a few years ago and gave up , can't be from marriage as can't appear to find one registered.. because of different religion maybe

	It's form the children's birth certs The gro site is letting you search births and show the mothers maiden name Both Martha and George show mmn as Sainsbury
