Have been looking for ages for the above, in the 1891 and 1901 census. would be so pleased if anyone could find for me.
Alfred Pledger, 1854, Strethall, Essex. Parents John and Susan Pledger.
Wife Sarah Ann Giles, ,, born 1863, Colne, St. Ives. Married 1887, St. Ives.
Children Sarah Elizabeth , 1888, Bluntisham, Beatrice L, 1890 Earith etc.,
In the 1891 census wife Sarah Ann is living with her father John, and the first two children, in Earith, N. Hunts., but no Alfred, and also No Alfred or Sarah Ann in the 1901 census.
Sarah Ann died before the 1911 census

The name IS Pledger on the image, but could easily mis-read for Hedger ........... unless you check that initial letter with other "H" on the image, eg on Hants

Many thanks to all of you for your help. I think it is possible that Maria Annie is another child of Alfred and Sarah Ann. Wiill check.
Think finding Alfred in 1891 is not looking likely, so will give up on that at the moment.
