Where do you think the connection might lie, Sheila? And do you have any Manby's in your tree?

FreeBMD doesn't have any Manby/Milner marriages or Manby/McCarlie ones.

ArgyllGran

ArgyllGran Report 27 Aug 2015 22:45

I don't see any marriages between any Manbys', McCarlie's, or Milners in Scotland either.

There are lots of McCarlie marriages, but not to Manby or Milner.
Nor Manby to Milner.

No idea on anything here!...

(but, just to add, from looking at link to other 'Thread', the 1855 Lincs. Marriage, James Milner is on below link, as is perhaps other Gainsborough info.)

Need feedback from Sheila on this please!...

Thanks everybody for trying to find a link.
I am doing research for a friend and his Mother used to talk about Capt Manby who invented things to help with safety at sea.
Her Father was McCarlie and her Mother was a Milner, there is no-one left now to ask for anymore information to where the connection is.
I think we will have to give up trying to find the link for now and hope something comes up at a later date.
Thank you all for trying.
Sheila.
