HI
thank you Milly, that is his son Lionel, I am just completely stuck on his dad and where he came from, he is listed as a journeyman on his birth certificiate, and Dixon seems to be popular in Grimsby Lincolnshire at the time, thanks

hi there,

family rift I think, hence we don't even know when he died or where. I could order the cert, but money is an issue, thanks

Why do you not get the marriage certificate?

If they are grandparents, when and where did John die?

Hi there folks,

I have never been stuck this close to grandparents, doing this for a friend.

Lionel Jack Dixon was born in 1930 Grimsby. Parents were John William (journey man) and Sylvia B Dixon. married in 1930. I have no way of finding out where John was born or his date of birth, as we don't have the marriage certificate. There are so many Dixons in Grimsby, I don't quite know where to start. If anyone can help, that would be great.
thanks
