Find Ancestors

I am looking for William Foster b1865, in Bromfield, Cumbria, who is believed to have emigrated to USA.

He married Margaret Lattimer in 1886, and I have them both in all census returns up to including 1911. So, sometime after that they went.

Can anyone please help me find any info at all as to when they sailed to USA?

There is a William and Margaret in Mass USA but they arrived in the US in 1890

Was the 1911 census the last time you heard of them, did they have any children....names and DOB might help

The information is probably on Findmypast as they have "Passenger Lists Leaving UK 1890-1960"

Just for information, in the 1911 census they were farmers and had no children.

According to strong family rumour, William Foster went to USA..

I have no proof as yet if they went at all, but I feel I have to follow this through to prove or disprove the rumour.

Middle names - none that I know of for either party, but both were born in Bromfield, Cumberland, England. Margaret, 1860, William, 1865

Ginny, what other info from the 1890 US census, just in case I have the wrong family this end of things?

Not much to go on, I know, but it's worth a try.
