Find Ancestors

Looking for information on my Grandfather Wilfrid Pilkington, born in Wigan 1913 lived in Newburn Newcastle upon Tyne Married Lena McCleary in 1935 in Gateshead, had two children Freda and Laura Pilkington, lived in Blaydon on Tyne, divorced in early 1940's approx. I think he moved to Birmingham but I could be wrong. His father was Richard John Pilkington, a coal merchant who lived in Newburn, married Martha Thomas 1912 in Wigan. Any info greatly appreciated.

I would like to know where he went to and whether he remarried and had more family, I have tried FreeBMD with no luck. I just thought some one out there may have actually known Wilfrid or have him in their own tree and be able to give me some info.

My aunt - his youngest daughter was born in July 1942 so I think it would have been about 1943 when he left, I could be wrong but I don't think he would have been divorced in Sep 1942, does anyone know where I could find divorce records.
